- Our primary focus is to protect University interests and optimise the use of land. We identify opportunities and planning strategies for sites which do not yet have planning permission or allocations in a local plan, and work with colleague in Estates and external consultants to bring sites forward for development.
- As custodians of the University estate we manage over 20km of Public Rights of Way, in excess of 10km of permissive paths, and riparian obligations covering a complex network of watercourses and main rivers.
- We are passionate about creating active and inclusive communities, where everyone has easy and safe access to open spaces and nature. We're deeply committed to these principles, as evidenced by our recent achievement of opening of 2 outdoor classrooms, created in collaboration with local schools and in line with National and University initiatives, to engage children with the natural world.
