Health and Safety Induction

This course is an information session about the basics of health & safety and the University of Reading and forms part of your induction at the beginning of your employment

AIMS:

During this session we will:

• Look at health & safety on the University of Reading campuses
• Give a brief overview of legislation and how it is relevant to your role
• Give you some information and guidance on how to stay safe on campus as you start your new role with the University

OBJECTIVES - ON RETURNING TO THE WORKPLACE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

• Understand the basics of health & safety on campus
• Help foster a good safety culture in your School/Directorate
• Know where to seek help with health & safety in your area

WHOS SHOULD ATTEND:

• Staff who are new to the University
• Staff who require a refresher on health & safety
