Dr Glynn Percival

I am the plant physiologist and technical support specialist for the F.A Bartlett Tree Expert Company Ltd and manage their UK research laboratory based at the University of Reading.

I have an active research and training program at the laboratory and university that focuses on many different aspect of tree care. Recent studies have included work on tree survival following transplanting, novel methods of pest and disease control and the effects of environmental stress upon tree physiology.

I have been invited to present papers on my work at the International Society of Arboriculture and Arboricultural Association annual conferences and in addition the International Society for Horticultural Science, 1st International Symposium on Urban Tree Health. I am the author of over 100 scientific papers, magazine articles and book chapters. In addition I am on the editorial board for the Journal of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry Urban Greening.

I was recently made an honorary visiting research fellow by Reading University, citing my valuable contributions within the School of Biological Sciences and the university.
