If you undertake your PhD with us, you’ll join an active community of around 100 PhD students across the School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences.
You’ll also become part of a large, diverse community of doctoral students across the University.
During your PhD, you’ll have opportunities to communicate your work with other researchers, present a seminar, speak at conferences and workshops, and visit or host researchers.
We encourage you to attend conferences and other events to widen your network of contacts, and will help you to arrange travel and accommodation.
The Doctoral and Researcher College hosts an annual public lecture to celebrate academic excellence. The Fairbrother Lecture is delivered by a current or recent doctoral student and is a fantastic opportunity for a wider audience to learn about the high quality doctoral research conducted at Reading.
