The Global Study Lounge is a multipurpose space for study, socialising, teaching and learning support and academic guidance, as well as wider social and cultural activities, events, and celebrations. 

Open access Monday to Friday. 
Semester time: 8:00 - 21:00. 
Vacation time: 8:00 - 18:00.

Staff and student groups can book the space on weekends and out of hours.

The Global Study Lounge is in room 230 on the second floor of the Edith Morley building. Follow signs from the Edith Morley foyer.

Print and digital resources to assist international and pathway students with their studies and language development. The Lounge also hosts language and consultation sessions.

The Global Study Lounge runs FREE conversation cafés for staff and students from all of Reading’s campuses to help with language learning, confidence, and intercultural understanding.

The Global Study Lounge runs and hosts a variety of academic, social, and cultural events. Staff and students can run their events in the Lounge for FREE, see booking and contact information.

The Global Study Lounge hosts sessions from staff, services, and directorates about students’ global opportunities, including Study Abroad, the RED Award and Global Graduate modules.

In addition to the support offered by the Lounge and ISLI, the Lounge also hosts support events and activities from across the university.
The Global Study Lounge hosts events for University of Reading research and scholarship groups, helping them to facilitate the sharing of their work.
