My research interests lie in philosophy of language and philosophy of humour, and how they intersect with literature. In particular, I am interested in studying the nature of humour and our use of it, and I am interested in ‘non-serious’ uses of language

Background

Before moving to Reading, I studied Philosophy at the University of Milan, where I earned my BA and MA. I joined the University of Reading as a Philosophy PhD student, researching the use of humour in Samuel Beckett’s works. I then joined the department as lecturer in Philosophy in 2022
