Postgraduate research degrees
We encourage applications from prospective research students across a wide range of soil related topics and are always pleased to discuss initial research ideas with you if you are considering undertaking a PhD or MPhil.
We currently supervise over 40 postgraduate students from around the world. We offer a supportive environment in which to develop the skills necessary for your future career in the research and policy arenas, whether in an academic or industrial context.
Postgraduates have access to our well equipped laboratories, University farms and state of the art University analytical facilities. Students are based in the home schools of our staff (currently Biological Sciences, Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science (SAGES), and Agriculture, Policy and Development).
