The Indian Laptop Orchestra (InLOrk) definitely presents a different way to program music and presents examples of computer-based music-making through the lens of computer music. It is a collection of computers designed for the performance of live coding and collaboration to generate Indian musical compositions. The InLOrk is the culmination of a research work on Computer Music at Department of Computer Science, Punjabi University, Patiala, Where researcher amalgamate computer science, Indian music and digital music producing techniques into an immersive Laptop ensemble. Members of InLOrk are trained to code new pieces of ensemble and to perform with their laptops, computers and other digital devices, which aid in the development of digital instruments.

InLOrk is pushing the boundaries of technology and experimentation within the context of orchestra improvisation and music collaboration. The objective of this research to create musical sounds of Indian music using Chuck audio programming.

This studies documents and evaluates a number of projects which exemplify our practices within computer-based music approaches. In chronological fashion, the submission will present, with code examples, the development of various digital instruments-Mandolin, Tabla, Sitar, Drum, Flute and Shakers with Chuck. The extensive codes, featuring two Indian compositions, JanaGanaMana and Mitti da Bawa are performed live with the developed digital instruments.

This work is sent out into the Computer Music word in the hope that it may play some part, however small, in the spread and improvement of Indian music in the context of technology throughout India. We anticipate that performing with computers may provide and interesting reference for computer programmers, Music performers, and Digital artists.
