Background
Dr. Xiang Li is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Reading. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where he worked with Prof. Mohamed Elhoseiny. Before that, he held a Postdoctoral Researcher position at New York University Abu Dhabi, collaborating closely with Prof. Yi Fang.
Dr. Li earned his Ph.D. in 2019 from the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), under the supervision of Prof. Tianhe Chi. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Wuhan University, awarded in 2014.
His research interests lie at the intersection of multimodal large language models (LLMs), 3D computer vision, and remote sensing.
