Areas of interest
My professional interests focus on quality assurance and strategic planning in higher education, alongside the development of EAP teaching materials and assessment tools. I am particularly passionate about supporting students to achieve their academic goals, fostering their love of learning, and creating engaging learning experiences that help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.Background
I joined the University of Reading in 2023 and have since held a range of roles across the Pre-sessional and Foundation programmes. I bring over 20 years of experience in education, specialising in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience in interlocution and marking for a variety of language examinations, including LanguageCert, supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals.Academic qualifications
