Mission

Our mission is to provide facilities and social events to enable staff interaction and so enhance their quality of life.

Vision

A key feature of university life is the promotion of staff inclusivity in diversity. The SCR aims to support this as a club, by serving as a social focus for all staff. At Whiteknights we have a Newspaper and Coffee Lounge including a coffee machine and an upright piano, a Meeting Room and a wine shop. At London Road, Acacias provides a peaceful Lounge with a grand piano.

These facilities offer our members quiet spaces for relaxation and reading, and also opportunities for social interaction across our various academic and/or professional services disciplines. We combine these amenities with a varied programme of social events. Our vision is to provide a vibrant collegial environment for staff from all sectors of our University to enhance their wellbeing.
