Experience studying abroad

Biomedical engineering student Katie McAreavey spent a semester at Colorado State University in Fort Collins as part of our Study Abroad scheme.

“One of the benefits to studying abroad was that I was able to pick modules that wouldn’t have been on offer to me at Reading. This not only gave me the opportunity to diversify my education, it also boosted my final grade for the year."

I hope our students will be inspired to learn more about important biomedical challenges and to see how they can apply their skills and knowledge gained from our degree to develop cutting-edge biomedical engineering solutions."

Reading Students' Union societies

Reading Students' Union offers societies that may be of interest to biomedical engineering students.

Biological Sciences Society

This society is for all students in the School of Biological Sciences, offering course support, academic events and socials.

Biomedical Engineering Society

This is a support and social group for Biomedical Engineering students, alumni and anyone with an interest in the subject. From guest speakers and academic resources to socials, they hold events throughout the year.
