Background
Professor Awbi’s research focuses on the areas of building ventilation and indoor air quality. His publications in room air flow analysis and modelling, air distribution systems, and heat transfer in buildings are widely quoted. His research in room air movement has led to the development of novel and energy efficient room air distribution systems, such as the impinging jet ventilation system and the confluent jets ventilation system.
