As a KTP Associate, you can fuse your academic knowledge with serious commercial skills and experience to drive innovation and kick-start your career.

The national, government-backed KTP scheme is one of the biggest and most successful career launchpads for talented graduates and postgraduates in the UK, with approximately 70% of KTP Associates offered employment by the host business at the end of the project.

KTP Associates at Reading are jointly recruited by the host business and the university and are employed by the university for the duration of the project (typically up to three years).

KTP Associates are based primarily at the premises of the host business, with regular and ongoing support from an academic supervisor and a specialist Knowledge Transfer Adviser.

As a KTP Associate, you will spend around 10% of your time in training and personal development. You manage your own training budget and can choose from a range of modules, including marketing, finance, and leadership, as well as job-specific training.
