Modern Greek is spoken by at least 13 million people today in Greece, Cyprus and the Greek diaspora.  The Greek language has the longest documented history of any Indo-European language, spanning 34 centuries of written records.

What's it like to learn Modern Greek with Languages for All?

More than 50,000 words in English are derived from the Greek language, so you already speak some Greek, but just don't know it yet! As well as learning a new language, studying Modern Greek with the Languages for All programme will enable you to explore democracy, theatre, poetry, mythology, art and the beautiful Aegean islands.

Read posts from former students on our blog. You can also read about how you’ll learn on a Languages for All module and the reasons why you should take a Languages for All module.

Students of  Languages for All Modern Greek may also get the chance for some extra-curricular activities, such as film screenings. You can also join a society and learn more about Hellenic culture.
