Background
Hanan Hamad is a Clinical Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and an Independent Prescriber with over 20 years of pharmacy experience, including 10 years as a prescriber in both hospital and general practice. She holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Clinical Pharmacy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education.
In addition to her academic role, she leads an advanced practice clinic managing long-term conditions and minor ailments. She also acts as Lead DPP in the Teach & Treat programme with Frimley ICB and is a former Quality Improvement Fellow with Thames Valley and Wessex Primary Care School.
Her work focuses on advancing the clinical role of pharmacists in primary care, particularly through education, structured placement models, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
