The Law International Summer School
The Law Summer School is open to students from our partner universities who have completed the first year of their undergraduate studies and are currently in the second year or above.
The International Summer School explores contemporary issues in areas such as arbitration, banking, global security, and climate change. You will examine these topics through subject-specific lectures, seminar discussions and activities.
Our highly regarded academics regularly contribute to global and national policy development and law reforms through their work with governments and regulatory agencies.
Alongside your university-based learning, you will enjoy educational and cultural trips. Reading is well-connected by rail, making it easy to travel and explore the country's towns, cities and historical sites.

You will
- engage with the fundamental themes of commercial law
- learn about contemporary issues in international law
- explore key aspects of the English legal system
- experience life within a UK university environment by living and studying on the beautiful Whiteknights campus.
You will study via

We recommend you plan to arrive at Heathrow Airport on Sunday 6 July and depart on Saturday 19 July, after the course has finished.
Travelling to Reading from Heathrow Airport is easy and takes about 45 minutes by RailAir Link bus, which departs from Terminals 2, 3, and 5 at regular intervals. RailAir Link will stop at Reading train station, and from there, there is a local bus that takes you to the main campus within a few minutes. Alternatively, you can get a taxi from Reading train station directly to campus, which will cost about £10.
We will provide you with information about your accommodation closer to the time.
