Our short courses

CIPPET offers educational training modules to prepare supplementary prescribing pharmacists to practise as both independent and supplementary prescribers and to meet the standards set by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

These modules can be taken as stand-alone subjects or built towards further pharmacy practice and healthcare practice qualifications.

Certificate in Advanced History Taking and Clinical Assessment

This module is aimed at practising healthcare professionals who are in roles requiring, or that will require, advanced skills in history taking and physical assessment of patients. The module can be studied stand-alone or as part of the MSc in Advancing Healthcare Practice.

Certificate in Reflective Practice for Prescribers

This module is aimed at practising healthcare professionals who are working as prescribers (supplementary or independent) who can underpin their workplace-based prescribing practice with a professional portfolio of evidence.

Certificate in Diagnostic Reasoning

This module is aimed at practising healthcare professionals who are in roles requiring, or that will require, advanced skills in diagnostics to support differential diagnosis and critical thinking.

Certificate in Work-Based Learning

This 20 credit module is aimed at working healthcare professionals who can underpin their workplace-based learning with a professional portfolio of evidence.
