Areas of interest
Erhan's research interests broadly cover the multilingual, multicultural, and technologized practices of language and communication in changing societies and pedagogical contexts. Along with the rapid advances in information and communication technologies, he explores new forms of multimodal representation, new text and pragmatic meaning making practices in user-generated digital discourse that is shared in online affinity spaces where linguistically and culturally diverse participants interact with one another.
Postgraduate supervision
Erhan currently supervises five PhD students. He is happy to consider supervising research on language learning/teaching and technology, digital discourse and communication, L2 pragmatics, and intercultural communication.Teaching

Background
Erhan has more than ten years of international teaching experience in Turkey, the US, and the UK. During those years, he not only taught but also developed and revamped multiple courses in EFL/ESL and TESOL/applied linguistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Erhan was the proud recipient of the widely recognised and prestigious Fulbright Grant as well as theTESOL International Organization's Research Mini-Grant.Academic qualifications
