Room Booking Schedule 2025/6

All rooms which are bookable online are now available to be booked for the 2025/6 academic year, to the 30th August 2026.

Room Booking Schedule 2026/7

To support the timetable and the prioritisation of a consistent teaching pattern, room bookings are only possible after certain dates. These dates are usually structured around key activities such as scheduling or the publication of each stage of the timetable.

There will, therefore, be restrictions on making bookings via CMISGo, and the Room Booking Officer will also have restrictions on when they may process requests.

These restrictions will depend on the type of space being booked, the time of year and the date of the required booking. Please see below for full details of what may be booked and when.

Please note that CMISGo may only be used to book rooms for working days, between 09:00 and 18:00. This, therefore, excludes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and University closure days, requests for which must always be processed by the Room Booking Officer.

The Room Booking Officer will only be able to make bookings that are complex enough that they would not usually be completed online. Therefore, if you have a simple booking, you will need to wait for online bookings to be enabled, and such requests will not be processed by the Room Booking Officer.

Department/School controlled rooms

School controlled spaces will be bookable online (as allowed by the booking permissions) for all days for the whole of the next academic year from 25^th June 2026.

Centrally controlled rooms

Non-teaching spaces

Non-teaching spaces (i.e. meeting rooms in Whiteknights House, and Carrington 203) will be bookable online for all days for the whole of the next academic year from 25^th June 2026.

Semester 1

Teaching spaces required from 31st August 2026 until the end of the Semester 1 Assessment Period on the 29^th January 2027 will be bookable online from 2^nd September 2026.

Complex requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer if emailed to rooms@reading.ac.uk from 28^th May 2026.

Semester 2

Teaching spaces required from 1^st February 2027 until the end of the Semester 2 Assessment Period on the 28^th May 2027 will be bookable online from 9^th December 2026.

Complex requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer if emailed to rooms@reading.ac.uk from 28^th May 2026.

Christmas Vacation

Teaching spaces required during Christmas Vacation (21^st December 2026 to 10^th January 2027) will be bookable online from 2^nd September 2026.

Complex requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer if emailed to rooms@reading.ac.uk from 28^th May 2026.

Easter Vacation

Teaching spaces required Easter Vacation (29^th March 2027 to 11^th April 2027 will be bookable online from 9^th December 2026.

Complex requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer if emailed to rooms@reading.ac.uk from 28^th May 2026.

Summer Vacation

Teaching spaces required during Summer Vacation will be bookable online from 6^th January 2027.

Complex requests can be processed by the Room Booking Officer if emailed to rooms@reading.ac.uk from 28^th May 2026.
