Research informed practice
At the Institute of Education we know that education has the ability to transform lives. You will be taught by a diverse and experienced community of academics.
Tutors are internationally or nationally renowned and their research regularly has a direct impact on school curricula and learning techniques, both in the UK and abroad. As experts in their field, their research also directly informs the focus and content of your course.
Our research informed approach will help you to both reflect and move forwards in your practice. You will have the opportunity to take part in your own research and see the impact it has for yourself.
A flexible learning experience
We are very aware that you will need to combine your study with other responsibilities. We use a range of modes of study to suit the wide variety of learners that we have.
We use elements of blended learning, a mix of online and face-to-face teaching (when possible) to encourage our students to be inclusive, flexible and autonomous learners. Tutor directed learning before our taught sessions allows you to do as much of your studying as possible when it is convenient to you.
You will also benefit from the support of your Academic Tutor throughout the programme.
