At the Institute of Education, we have created an open and inclusive environment, one which promotes a sense of wellbeing and belonging.

You will enjoy high levels of personal attention and strong support throughout your studies. Your tutors are on hand to offer regular guidance and support, ensuring any potential issues are addressed as early as possible.

Our academics will help you make the most out of your time with us, and you'll have many opportunities to socialise and collaborate with your peers. We foster an environment where our students and academics can learn from one another, building on each other’s experiences and knowledge to dig deeper into the field of education together. You can join our community before you even arrive in Reading.

Life in Reading

Step off campus and you'll find yourself in a bustling town centre offering a variety of shops, restaurants and activities. We're also well-connected – you can reach London Paddington within half an hour by train.

I really enjoyed studying with international students. I met individuals who came from such a variety of different backgrounds and loved hearing their stories of education from their home countries and how these compared to my own experiences of education.

Life on campus

The Institute of Education is based on the historic London Road campus which underwent a £30 million refurbishment of the classical 'Oxford cloistered' quadrangle to create a dedicated world-class education centre.
