Once your results are released you will receive an email notification with a link to view your IELTS scores online. You can also view them online through the Test Taker Portal under the results tab.
You will receive only one hard copy of your TRF (Test Report Form). Your TRF will be sent to the address you registered with via first class post (or standard overseas mail).
For IELTS on paper tests your results will be available 13 calendar days after your test date.
For IELTS on computer tests your results will be available between 3-5 calendar days after your test date.
Please note that in some cases results may be withheld for internal verification purposes. In this case, you will be kept informed by the test centre.
Sending your Test Report Form directly to the organisations you’re applying to
When you register for your test, you can nominate up to five organisations to be sent your IELTS Test Report Form directly.
For up to 2 years following the test date we can send a copy of your Test Report Form to your nominated organisation. If you require this service, please contact us at ielts@reading.ac.uk and complete the relevant Additional TRF Request Form. We will not charge an administration fee for this service but results sent by post may incur a postage charge. To send results electronically, the receiving organisation must have registered with the TRF Verification Service. If they are not registered, only postal copies can be sent.
Unhappy with your test result?
If you are unhappy with your test result, you can apply for a re-mark. This process is known as an Enquiry on Results (EOR).
- You must apply no later than six weeks after the test date.
- There is a fee of £100 for this service which will be refunded if your score on any component is increased.
- Your result will normally be ready within 2 to 21 days.
