Guest Wi-Fi Networks
There are two guest Wi-Fi networks on campus:
- Eduroam Visitor Access
- Sky Guest Wi-Fi
Eduroam Visitor Access
Wi-Fi network name (SSID) = eduroam
This should be requested in advance by a staff member and is set up by the Service Desk, use the Guest Wi-Fi account form to request this. Log on details will be sent directly to the user.
Sky Guest Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi Network name (SSID) = Wifi Guest
"Wifi Guest" is an unsecured Wi-Fi network run by Sky Business which is available in many public areas of the University, such as cafés.
To connect, select the "Wifi Guest" network in your network settings (there is no password). Agree to the terms and conditions, and then you can start browsing. There is no bandwidth limit or time limit.
It is available in the following areas:
Whiteknights campus
- Palmer Building - Café area
- Library - Café Area
- Health & Life Sciences building - Reception/Café area & Cole Museum of Zoology
- Harry Pitt – AnDy Clinic area
- Henley Business School building
- Agriculture building
- Sports Park
- RSU - Student's Union
- Cedar Hotel and Conference Area (including Park House and Eat at the Square)
London Road campus
- Building L33
- The Great Hall (L45)
- Building L46
- The Dairy (L14)
- Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) Exhibition Area
Greenlands campus
- Henley Business School - all areas (Customers at the Greenlands Campus should connect to Wi-Fi Guest (unlimited))
Eduroam
Staff and students should use the secure Eduroam Wi-Fi network, not the Guest network. If you are having difficulty connecting to Eduroam, please see our Eduroam Wi-Fi webpages for connections instructions and troubleshooting tips.
Need Public Wi-Fi for an event?
Wi-Fi can also be made available in certain locations at Whiteknights for the duration of an event. Please contact DTS if you need Wi-Fi for visitors to a public event.
