Email and calendaring - Outlook 365
Staff have access to Outlook included with their University of Reading Microsoft 365 account. Microsoft 365 puts your email and calendar functionality into the Cloud (Exchange Online). The benefits of this include:
- Access through the Outlook desktop app, mobile app, or Outlook through the web via office.com (N.B. OWA no longer exists)
- Integration with Microsoft 365 products, including Teams and OneDrive for Business
- Microsoft managed service with 99.9% uptime
- Standard email storage quota of 50GB (can be extended to 100GB)
How to log in
Go to outlook.office.com and log in using the format username@reading.ac.uk (example username ab123467 or sgwsww) plus your normal UoR password.
Using your email address to log in will not work!
Security
Our systems stop thousands of scam emails and other malicious threats every day. However, some still get through so we have a section on our website devoted to staying safe when working and socialising online.
