Standard Apple Mac models

There are two standard Apple Mac offerings with the following specifications available from XMA. 

Please note that all Apple devices brought by the University of Reading are configured prior to dispatch and so are non returnable.

Note: Details in the above table show current stock and are correct as at 06/06/25. Depending on stock availability, updates and changes may be made to the specifications at any time. 

Is anything else available?

As with Windows devices, if you require something different to the standard Mac devices available, you must raise a Hardware Exception Request so we can discuss your requirements.

Peripherals for Macs

Monitors 

24" monitor: from £100

The standard University monitor is a 24" height adjustable flat screen monitor. Many departments use two monitors as standard on desks rather than choosing one larger display. Please check the UoR monitors page for details of current stock available.

Cables

Mac models have a USB-C (or Thunderbolt) conectivity so any USB-C cable is suitable.
