Careers Team

The Careers team provide support for current students, alumni, employers and academic staff of the University.

Careers are located on the first floor of the Carrington building supporting the careers development of students in-person, online through workshops, webinars and events.

The Employer Engagement Team work closely with employers from a wide range of sectors to understand specific recruitment needs and connect them to our talented students and graduates

The team also manage the various schemes and initiatives to enable students to gain experience and develop skills required for the world of work, including the RED Awards, Internships, THRIVE Mentoring and Campus Jobs.  You can find more information on the student pages Essentials | Gaining Experience.

Careers support academic tutors and staff with:

• placement queries
• delivering employability initiatives remotely
• embedding employability in the curriculum
• helping you develop your tutee’s employability
• data on your students’ careers engagement and your DLHE and Graduate Outcomes data
• helping you support students with disabilities, and students from a widening participation background
