Placements Team
The placement team provide support for both staff and students supporting placement and work-related learning within the curriculum
We have expertise in the design and delivery of placement learning and preparatory training and student support, working alongside placement tutors, module convenors and careers consultants.
We also manage the resource, processes and systems necessary for compliant placement operations, working alongside colleagues in professional services, including; CQSD, UoR Insurance, Health and Safety, Immigration, and Legal Services teams.
We support all students undertaking a curricular placement as part of their programme, whether it be a practice based, short or a year-long placement. Our services include 1-1 student support, in-programme preparatory placement training, central workshops, including placement Bootcamps and placement administration.
Administration includes:
- operating Placement Pathways to authorise student placements;
- DBS and placement allocations for students undertaking professionally regulated programmes- such as Initial Teacher Education, Pharmacy programmes, and Speech and Language Therapy;
- administration of placement travel and accommodation expenses.
