Students within the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences benefit from studying within an active clinical environment. Research from our clinics and centres ensures that students are informed of the latest theories and practice in clinical psychology.
Psychology and speech and language therapy students also have the option to carry out placements in our clinics and gain hands-on experience.
"I benefited – and still benefit – from being able to work with and learn from a large, diverse group of service users and within a team alongside other high-intensity therapists, clinical psychologists and other psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWPs)."
Simon Brett, MSci Applied Psychology (Clinical) graduate

Our School also provides a variety of training for mental health professionals through the Charlie Waller Institute.
