MSc Psychology Conversion

This one-year course covers the same subject areas as our BSc Psychology degree and is fully accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Gain knowledge in the core disciplines within psychology, including development, social psychology and cognition.

Complement your postgraduate study of psychology through optional modules that align with the University of Reading’s strengths in research and clinical psychology, such as evidence-based treatments, or a research placement.

Your future career

Our psychology conversion course is a stepping stone for non-specialists into a career in psychology, including clinical, counselling, and educational psychology.

Our graduates have gone on to work for the NHS. Alternatively, you can choose to further develop your skills by moving into research, teacher training, or further postgraduate studies.

Fees, funding and scholarships

A variety of funding support is available to our master’s students.

UK/EU students can receive government loans to help towards tuition fees and living costs. You may also be eligible for other grants and bursaries.

Both UK/EU and international students can apply for scholarships, which are awarded based on previous academic achievement.
