Combining study and real-world clinical experience

As part of her MSc Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology, Anna completed an extended placement at NHS Berkshire’s Eating Disorders Service, where she facilitated therapeutic group sessions and undertook research into the treatment of eating disorders.

Clinical insights

After working directly with individuals with speech and language impairments, Afshan and Sara realised they wanted to pursue a career in speech and language therapy and applied to study at Reading.

Making the leap

As an undergraduate political science student, Susannah studied conflict and the impact it has on people’s lives. Wanting to help support people affected by trauma, Susannah decided to pursue a MSc Psychology Conversion degree at Reading. 

From behaviour change to career change

During her studies, Louisa was taught data analysis, statistics, programming, and coding. She was supported by academics with experience in industry who helped her when applying for jobs.

Hands on experience

It was important for Nadine Edwards to find a course that would be clinically focused to complement the theoretical knowledge that she received during her undergraduate degree. to MSc Theory and Practice in Clinical Psychology at Reading allowed Nadine to have flexibility without compromising on experience.
