What does this mean for me?

Whilst this is a new system, it offers similar functionality to existing systems along with the opportunity to add new tools and functionality as part of a roadmap of future developments.  You will still be able to login to see your payslips, book annual leave (and approve it for your team if you’re a line manager) and view and amend your personal details, such as address or emergency contacts information.

Do I need to do anything now?

There will be further communications about this in the lead up to the implementation date

I’m a line manager, will I still be able to see details of my team?

Yes, you will be able to view and approve your team’s leave requests and see details of their learning and development and key data as you can currently.  The new system also allows us to add additional functionality in due course as part of a roadmap of future developments.

Will I be able to book and review my leave through self-service on campus and remotely as usual?

Yes, you will be able to book and review your annual leave via self-service on the new system.

Will training be available to use the new system?

For most routine activities in SAP, you won’t need specific training as it’s an intuitive, easy-to-use system. However, to ensure you are able to do what you need to do easily, we will be providing some short video clips showing some of the basics such as booking and approving leave, viewing your payslip, and where to find your personal details should you need to amend them. Guides on using the system will also be available in case of need.
