UoRLearn

 

UoRLearn is the University of Reading's Learner Management System which contains a huge library of e-learning modules, new starter induction training, and is also the booking system for in person training sessions and webinars.

 

Available Training:

UoRLearn features an extensive Library of e-learning that is constantly growing to suit your training needs. In addition to this, the People Development team schedule in person and virtual training sessions each semester, a full catalogue of upcoming training can be found on the Open Programme page on the staff portal and on UoRLearn.

This training includes topics relating to Leadership and Management, Soft Skills, Coaching and Mentoring training and Research training.

To help navigate to training that would best suit your professional development, upcoming training sessions have been categorised. These categories include Semester 1 and Semester 2, so you can easily locate all training coming up in each semester.

For help in navigating UoRLearn, accessing the categories, as well as registering and cancelling your place on a course and accessing your Learning Plan, please refer to our Learner Quick Reference Guide.

 

Managing your Team’s Training:

Line managers are also able to view their direct reports learning plans, and view completion of training as well as upcoming training sessions. For help navigating the Manager’s Desktop, please refer to the Managers Quick Reference Guide.

 

Internal Training sessions:

If you are running your own training session, whether virtual or in person, and you have contacted the People Development team via the Internal Training Support Process, you will be able to view the details of your training session, including the current register via Instructor Desktop.

Nonattendance of Training:

We appreciate that some circumstances are unavoidable, and this can lead to nonattendance.

However, if you are unable to attend a course, please ensure that you cancel your place giving at least 2 working days’ notice prior to the session date. Instructions on how to do this can be found below in the FAQs.

Going forward, there may be charges applied to the School or Function of colleagues who cancel their booking within two days of the session taking place or fail to attend a session that they have booked.

 

FAQ

I am getting a 'SAMLRequest' or 'SAMLResponse' error when I try to log in:

If you are receiving either of these error messages when trying to log into UoRLearn, please follow these step by step instructions to fix the error.

Please note - This method involves restarting your PC and signing out of all Office applications (such as Word, Teams, OneDrive) so please make sure work is saved and these applications closed first. 

 

I am Visiting staff and my login is no longer working:

Visiting staff are given 30 days access to UoRLearn when they join the University to complete their induction training. If you are over the 30 days and still haven't completed your training, please contact uorlearn@reading.ac.uk for a short extension. 

 

I am a Campus Jobs worker and can't log in:
