Associate Lecturers

The University has new arrangements for the appointment of Associate Lecturers, previously called Sessional Lecturers.

These arrangements were agreed with UCU in December 2020 following extensive consultation and signal a significant shift in the contractual and pay arrangements for hourly paid sessional staff.

The Head of School/Department should submit an SRF in the usual way selecting the Associate Lecturer route. This will now require the Associate Lecturer Assignment Terms form to be completed and uploaded onto the portal for the SRF to be processed.
