Alcohol
Drinking too much can put you at risk of developing heart and circulatory diseases and it can increases your risk of developing dementia or Type 2 diabetes.
Men and women should not drink more than 14 units of alcohol each week and it is advised that you aim for alcohol free days each week.
Keeping track of your units
- A pint of lager/beer or Cider has 3 units
- A large glass of wine has 3 units
- A single shot of spirit has 1 unit
